NEW PRODUCTS

According to informed sources, Apple will be releasing a new version of the Apple II in early 1983. Reputed changed include a full 64Kb as standard memory, a much lower chip count, and provision for a low-cost 80-column display board. The new machine, tentatively dubbed the IIE, should retail for several hundred dollars less than the Apple II Plus. At some time in the near future, Apple is also expected to announce a 16-bit microcomputer.
